You are a Bioneer.
Join us at the annual gathering that brings together a movement of movements to build the world that we know is possible! Gather around the council fire and get ready to be inspired…
Start your day with lively drumming and an opening ceremony led by a Coast Miwok elder to acknowledge the traditional caretakers of the land. Then settle into your seat for a morning of thought-provoking talks by practical visionaries and breathtaking musical performances.
Watch your heroes and new leaders you’ve never seen take the stage to inspire and expand our collective vision for the future. This year, major themes include new insights into climate mitigation, water management, racial justice, women’s leadership and indigenous activism.
Step out into the festival grounds to get lunch from one of our delicious vendors and take a walk through the Change Makers Fair, a showcase of the best businesses and nonprofit organizations who are building a resilient world.
Refresh your body and mind with a special yoga or embodiment session led by the world-renowned team from Off the Mat Into the World.
Stimulate your senses and entertain your kids at the brand new Family Fair, an activity zone filled with nature and science-based games, activities and art.
Grab a seat with new friends and allies under the trees by the Sun Stage and experience a performance by a Northern California Native Dance Group. Then head over to one of multiple collaborative art installations and collective murals to express your creativity.
Take time to learn about local plants on an herb walk with leading botanical medicine practitioners. Share your reflections in “open space” sessions at the Wiser Together Café. Get answers to pressing social entrepreneurship questions at the brand new Summit Tent. Contribute your unique wisdom to the talking circle in the Council Tent.
Participate in afternoon workshops based on your areas of interest including: regenerative food and farming, indigenous knowledge, women’s leadership, ecological medicine, human rights and the rights of nature and so much more!
In the evening, gather new seeds for your garden at our annual Seed Swap, catch a screening of unique films in the Showcase Theater, take in a raucous performance by the beloved poet, trickster and astrologist Caroline Casey or join a special cocktail reception hosted by Organic Valley where you can discuss pollinators, soil and nutrition with local experts.
And don’t miss our big dance party on Saturday night with a fabulous line-up of performers including DJ Spooky to help you celebrate and move until midnight!
Whether you are a new or returning Bioneer, we can’t wait to see you at the 2015 National Bioneers Conference. Come to make friends, to learn something new, to find experts, to share your voice, to build a network and to have fun. We can’t wait to see you there!
“I love Bioneers! I come because I learn so much. I draw on what I learn here all year long. I also come to see friends and network and do movement building because this is the place to make it happen.”
